Please contact her at(902) 404 6246, or by email: email@example.com

Janet holds a degree in Fine Art and Textile Design and a Graduate Diploma in Education. She has 29 years of teaching in UK, Alberta and Nova Scotia. Janet is also the Art Coordinator for Cole Harbour Library, teaches art classes at NWCC and provides private art instruction in her own studio.
This workshop is designed to inspire fresh thinking about your painting style, simplifying your approach using loose expressive strokes a variety of creative techniques such as negative painting, masking, resist, drawing with paint, glazing etc.
Janet will Start with step-by-step demonstration and guided practice, where participants will play around with background textures, composition, values, shapes, colours, lines and edges. They will also be encouraged to share and discuss, using fresh eyes to acknowledge and emphasize what is working well and to adapt and transform other elements.
The goal for the day is to take home some new creations, some re-creations and a whole bunch of ideas for techniques to explore on your own.
What to bring:
Although a variety of materials and tools will be available for your use, you are asked to bring along your own acrylic paints, brushes, canvasses or boards, masking tape and scissors.
*Also please bring a few of your own painted canvas “near-misses” with which you are dissatisfied – any size, incomplete or overworked.
Most important things to bring are your open mind and your sense of humour 🙂
