We are an active group of artists with every experience level, from beginner to pro, and a wide range of artistic interests. New members are always welcome! HistoryDVAS (Dartmouth Visual Art Society) is an arts organization formed in 1987 by local artists to support and promote visual arts in the community. We are energized by artistic diversity in the community. The interests of our membership are addressed with a dynamic program of weekly studio groups, occasional weekend workshops, one or two exhibitions per year, and a quarterly newsletter. DVAS holds an Annual General Meeting for the election of directors and officers. Additional meetings are held as required. Every year DVAS provides a small scholarship to a deserving student pursuing a Fine Arts degree at NSCAD.
